Start of an Internship

Today marked the perfect end to a relaxing weekend. The waves in Pondicherry were warm and full of energy, evoking a sense of home for someone like me who has spent a lifetime by the coast. Having lived along the West Coast in California and Washington, I’ve come to cherish the ocean’s constant presence—the gorgeous waves, the soothing ocean breeze, and the inviting places to swim.

While swimming in Puget Sound isn’t exactly the most relaxing experience, it does offer breathtaking views. For me, the ocean has always been a place of solace, where I can find peace simply by watching and listening to the rhythmic dance of the waves.

Today marked the first day of working with our NGOs. After breakfast and catching up on blogs, all the groups headed off to collaborate with their respective NGOs, except for team Biome. Instead, we worked remotely from the hostel, focusing on research and articles assigned by Biome.

Unfortunately, the hostel seemed determined to challenge our productivity, as the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, and it stayed that way throughout the day. Faced with this obstacle, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Our team migrated to Coffee Chemistry, a true “engineer’s solution.”

There, we managed to get our work done for Biome while enjoying drinks, food, and having plenty of fun. It was a productive and enjoyable day, setting the stage for an exciting start with Biome soon!
