The World is Ending
This blog marks the end of Week 8 here at GCIL. The week started off differently than most. We had just returned from Coorg, where there was barely any working internet—it almost felt like the world was ending for a few hours. But life goes on.
Being back in Bengaluru felt familiar: waking up, having breakfast, deciding which café to work at, getting Biome and GCIL tasks done, and then heading home. Every day, like clockwork. The only break from this routine came today when Team Biome went out for interviews in Devanahalli. We spoke with farmers and residents, gaining valuable insights. And as much as I enjoy being out and about, I have to admit—I’d rather be sitting in a chair than squatting.
Now, with just two weeks left to finalize and present our work, it’s hard to believe I’ve been in India for eight weeks. Before this, the longest I had ever been away from home was four weeks—and that was to visit family. Over these past weeks, I feel like I’ve made connections that will last a lifetime.
