Just Another Quarter at UW

gcil

I don’t even know what week it is right now; I just know I have stuff due on Wednesday and Friday. But that’s usually how it goes during the second half of the quarter, where I don’t even know what day it is or how long’s left, just that everything is suddenly creeping up, and it feels like I should’ve tried using google calendar way earlier. This weekend I’ve come to full terms with sleeping in till 1 pm, rotting in bed until 2 pm, then waiting for Kiara to come back to take a nap too, then go out by 6 pm together. I mean this is usually how an average Saturday is for me back in Seattle, so it’s nice to know old habits never die. While in the beginning, I was somewhat excited to wake up early everyday and see more of the city with my friends, I now realize that’s not who I really am. Even though I still like going out to explore, I’ve remembered that at least 12 hours of sleep is way more important to me than waking up early to see the daylight. Therefore, I am okay with saving my energy for evening outings if it means I can close my eyes for 5 hours more than my peers. To change the topic, yesterday I went to the art gallery and even though 80% of it was by the same guy who didn’t really pique my interests, I was really happy I got to see a photograph by one of my favorite photographers, Raghu Rai, who’s monochrome works invites you into the everyday life of people across India. I don’t really feel like expanding on that, but you guys should check it out if you don’t know. Anyways, despite being in India right now, it kind of just feels like another quarter at UW except I’m hot and sweaty, and I have to read this blogpost to a bunch of people who are also half asleep.
